Torah and Haftarah chants reflect trope melody, pronunciation, training, and personal interpretation.  No two rabbis or cantors will chant a passage in exactly the same way. Variations reflect Ashkenazi or Sephardic pronunciation, Reform, Orthodox, or Conservative training, and personal interpretation.  Given that many Bar/Bat Mitzvah students learn the chants for their weekly readings as a "song," it is easier for them if they can listen to a recording that reflects the training and preferences of their instructor.  Now there is an easy way to create custom training materials for adult and Bar/Bat Mitzvah students.  These can help the student learn from instructor-recorded audio that is synchronized with the sacred text.

The first step is for the rabbi or cantor to record the chant with a sound recorder included with the software. A headset microphone for computer use is included.  The same recording can then be used by one or more students. Once recorded, the student can view the text on a computer monitor, select a word or phrase, or and hear the melody chanted by his/her own rabbi or cantor.  It's that easy!  These recordings can be synchronized to the Hebrew text with or without vowels. 

Plus, the instructor can add translation in English or any other language, transliteration (pronunciation), graphics, hyperlinks to relevant websites, recordings of songs or music, instructional videos, or other electronic files to the customized training session file.  Both Hebrew with and without vowels are included as session file training material, plus integrated sound recorder and headset to record the chants.  The software also can be used as a teaching aid for standard Hebrew or other foreign languages. You'll be amazed how easy it is to enhance the training of your Bar and Bat Mitzvah and regular Hebrew students.
