Client (Command! Add-In)

The Command! Call Center add-in provides a tool for the system administrator and the user to change user specific information. Order of appearance of menu items depends upon order of installation.

If the user accessing the window is a system administrator, the User Configuration window appears with records for all users.

The main window of the User Configuration form has three fields:

User Name (ID)

Command! User ID

Full Name

Users full name

Call Center ID

Box number for voice mail

The system administrator accessing the Call Center Configuration window may, for any user, add or delete a user, and change password, forwarding number, or dictation or message workflow defaults. To change a password, the administrator does not need to know the old password.

If the user is a general user, a limited User Configuration window appears. This permits the user to change his or her User Name (ID), password, and defaults for dictation workflow, message workflow, and routine.

Unlike the administrator's window, the general user window shows only the party logged and grays out Call Center ID and Forwarding Numbers.  These can only be changed by an administrator.

In summary, only the administrator can add or delete a user, change Call Center ID, or enter forwarding numbers. Both the general user or administrator may change the password, default and message workflow, and default routine. The following table summarizes the differences between administrator and general user configuration privileges:

Add User - Only an administrator can add a new user.

Use the Command!'s Options -> Administrator -> Users menu option to add, modify, and delete users in Command!. Anyone who attempts to access Command! through the Call Center or otherwise must have a valid user account created through this interface.

In the User Configuration window, click on the Add New button. The Add New Command! Call Center User window will appear. The window will contain a list of all users in the Command! database that are not already in the  Command! Call Center database.

Select the User ID. Click the OK button. This will enter the User ID, Full Name, and next available Call Center ID number into the User Configuration window.

Note: A CCC_UserID is automatically added in numerical order based upon the highest assigned UserID. If a specific ID is required, it is possible to reassign a user any available number. Create a user and allow the system to assign the next available number. Save changes and return to the user and change the UserID to the number desired. If a UserID is changed, however, voice mail in the old box is no longer accessible to the user. If the old UserID is reassigned to a new user, any undeleted voice mails in that unassigned message box will be accessible to the new user.

Delete User - Only an administrator can delete a user. Select a user. Click on the Delete button. The administrator will be asked whether to delete the user. The user will be deleted whether or not the Save Changes button is clicked, and this action cannot be reversed with the Undo Changes button.

Password - This may be performed by both the administrator and general user. Click on the Change Password button to view the Change Password window.

The administrator does not need to know the original password. Enter the new password. Repeat the new password to verify. The password must be numeric at least four numbers long and have at least two unique characters. Password changes are entered immediately, you do not need to press the save changes button and changes cannot be undone.

The general user must know the original password before he or she can change it.

Default Workflow - The administrator and general user may both change the dictation and message defaults.  Use the drop-down list to select. If a change has been made use the Save Changes button.

Default Routine - The administrator and general user can change the default dictation and message workflow default routines. Use the drop-down list to select a dictation or message workflow. Options are listed in the Default Routine drop-down list. Use the Save Changes button if a change has been made.

Forwarding Numbers - This may be entered or changed only by the administrator. When these numbers are provided all callers can have their calls forwarded upon request.
