Applies to older version SpeechServers (Dragon v5/6 or IBM v8+) only. Older version included Standalone desktop client edition that is no longer available.
This is similar to basic transcription and is provided by SaveSession. Session file creation is handled through the automatic activity of CSUSA_Session_X where X is the engine type. The activity must exist on a workflow for processing.
Session file creation requires audio-to-text conversion by the speech recognition engine. These files are saved and include both text and audio alignment information to be used at a later time.
The source audio file can be in any supported acWAVE format (.wav, .vox, .mp3, .wma) and will be converted to the engine's requirements before transcribing. To insure maximum recognition accuracy, be sure to use a high-quality recording (low bit rates can cause more inaccuracies).
If the job does not have an assigned engine user ID (based on Author or Job UDA settings), the engine automatically creates a new user (based on default settings) for processing. This new user will be assigned to the job's author.
The server output creates a text file of the input audio. Optionally, an RTF formatted file can be created. It will create (1) a session file proprietary to the engine and (2) a Custom Speech USA session file (used by SpeechMax). These files are assigned to the job for further processing in Command!.
The activity will complete normally if no errors occur, or will complete with a condition of ERROR in the event that an error occurred.
To perform session file creation:
1. Create a job in Command! on a workflow that has the CSUSA_Session_X activity and assign (or create) the required audio file.
2. Be sure to have appropriate UDA settings according to SpeechParameters.
3. Wait for the server to process the file
4. Work with the output files.
