Custom Speech USA, Inc. provides a variety of products and services for dictation and transcription, speech recognition, workflow and document management, and computer telephony.
Windows-based SpeechServers™, with patented and pending technology, uses Dragon, IBM, and SAPI 5.x speech recognition engines and provides for batch transcription and off-site training of speech recognition systems. No enrollment or pretraining is required! The systems may be licensed separately or combined. SpeechServers 5.x may be used with the Microsoft speech engine or patents pending SweetSpeech™ speaker-dependent speech recognition from Custom Speech USA™.
SpeechServers™ functionality may be limited by the features of the underlying speech recognition engine.
Separate systems are available, including SpeechServers (Dragon) for Dragon v9.x, SpeechServers SAPI 5.x, and an older version SpeechServers (Dragon v5/6 or IBM v8+). The products are described at SpeechServers™.
NOTE: SPEECHSERVERS (DRAGON V5/6 OR IBM V8+) MAY BE USED WITH VERSIONS 8-10 OF IBM VIAVOICE PROFESSIONAL. EARLIER EDITIONS OF THIS VERSION INCLUDED STANDALONE DESKTOP FEATURE THAT IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. AS THE CURRENT VERSIONS OF IBM VIAVOICE PROFESSIONAL MAY BE USED WITH SPEECHSERVERS (DRAGON V5/6 OR IBM V8+), THE OLDER HELP FILES ARE INCLUDED FOR IBM SPEECH ENGINE USERS AND CUSTOMERS STILL RUNNING OLDER VERSIONS OF DRAGON.

Current versions run with newer speech engine software and integrate
speech user management within the SpeechServers™.
SpeechUsers™ is not required
as separate purchase. Other
updates include operation of servers as service, integration with web
services workflow management, and creation of new user interfaces.
For comparison, the older version SpeechServers (Dragon v5/6 or IBM v8+)
consisted of four servers: TransWaveX™
transcription of audio, SpeechTrainer™ for repetitive corrective adaptation,
SaveSession™
for creation of compressed session file with audio-linked text, and CompleteProfile™for
offline enrollment. TransWaveX™
and SaveSession™ features are available for all the speech engine servers.
SpeechTrainer™
feature is available for Dragon and IBM speech engines only. CompleteProfile™
functionality is not available except for older versions.
SpeechServers™ for Dragon v5/6 is not supported. SpeechServers™
for IBM v8+ is supported only for use with IBM v10.
